Dig Into the Music of The Last of Us

A huge part of what makes a strong video game or film more impactful is its score. The Last of Us, the upcoming narrative journey from Naughty Dog, clearly aims to achieve a big sense of “wow” from its in-game tunes.

PlayStation and Naughty Dog put together a small behind-the-scenes clip specifically to gloss over the music that’s being made (and is likely already finished) for The Last of Us.

The artist responsible for the aural grace in the upcoming game is the Argentinian Gustavo Santaolalla. Satnaolalla has an Academy Award for composition to his credit, and that really shows throughout the clip that sits at the head of this post.

The Last of Us is set to release for the PlayStation 3 on June 14th, 2013. That’s less than a month from now, folks. Who’s picking it up?
