Samsung Galaxy S4 Mega Referenced in App Update

International Samsung Galaxy S4-Lock Screen

Samsung just released an update to its WatchOn application and, in the update, it refers to the Galaxy S4 mini, the Galaxy S4 Active and a device we haven’t heard of yet: the Galaxy S4 Mega.

It’s very possible this was a mistake, however. WatchOn is an application that allows you to control your TV or DVR using a phone’s built-in IR blaster. IR blasters are available on the Galaxy S4 as well as on the Galaxy Mega 6.3 and the Galaxy Mega 5.8. Perhaps the person in charge of releasing the application accidentally referred to those devices as the Galaxy S4 Mega.

We’re not sure at this point, but the reference definitely leaves open the possibility that a Galaxy S4 Mega is indeed in the works, especially since Samsung has yet to announce the Galaxy S4 Active or Galaxy S4 mini.
