Not even Google wants anything to do with its ill-fated Nexus Q, which the company unceremoniously dropped last year after a hugely bungled launch. According to multiple reports, including a confirmation by Google itself, the search giant’s new Music app isn’t compatible with the streaming orb device.
That means no All Access Music for you, Q. It’s really a shame, too, because Google’s Spotify competitor is pretty excellent, and exemplifies the company’s focus on services and good design. But with the lack of compatibility it sure seems like Google would just prefer to forget the Nexus Q ever happened in the first place. We still have one sitting at our office, and I think I just saw its light go out for good.
