Remember, Super Metroid is 30 Cents on the Wii U Starting This Week

Starting this Wednesday, 5/15 and running until June 13th, Super Metroid will be available on the Wii U’s eShop for $0.30.

The deal comes as part of the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the Famicom. Nintendo’s put one of their biggest classic games on sale every month on the Wii U’s eShop for the whopping price of 30 cents.

We’ve already seen Balloon Fight, F-Zero, Punch-Out!! and Kirby’s Adventure hit the slashed prices, and this week we’ll see what’s probably the most epic title on the list: Super Metroid.

What’s left? Only two months of goods. We’re looking at Yoshi (the puzzle title for the NES) and the NES port Donkey Kong. Great that they’re 30 cents, of course, but the sale sort of goes out with a whimper in my opinion.

Snatch the games up, and let’s hope Nintendo turns this deal into a monthly thing from here on out.
