Samsung Galaxy S III On T-Mobile Gets Updated to Android 4.1.2

T-Mobile customers who own the Samsung Galaxy S III are getting updated to Android 4.1.2 today, bringing Multi-Window, Sound Balance and Blocking Mode support. It’s not the very latest version, but it’s a step in the right direction. Other new features include enhanced camera options, Easy Mode and Samsung Gallery. The update is currently going out OTA, but it’s also available through Samsung Kies if you prefer to do it manually.

If you’re not hip with Samsung’s latest, the Galaxy S4, or even the HTC One, is currently available on T-Mobile. Still, this little update is a nice care package for those still happy with the S III. Google is expected to detail the next iteration of Jelly Bean at I/O this week, though it’s still unclear whether or not the jump will be to Key Lime Pie or remain Jelly Bean. Judging from recent rumors, however, it sounds like Jelly Bean will continue to be Google’s name of choice for the foreseeable future.
