LG is holding a press event at the end of this month to presumably announce the Optimus G2, and it looks like units are already in the wild. @evleaks, one of today’s most prolific leakers, tweeted an alleged picture of the much anticipated device, though it’s difficult to discern much from the photo itself. Coupled with a similar leak from last week by @evleaks, and the “circumstantial” evidence points to the G2’s existence.
The photo from last week shows a really wonderful looking handset with minimal bezel and tall (probably Full HD) screen. More and more possible evidence has cropped up during the month of May, so this very well could be the G2, which has been rumored to run Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 800 processor.
Because next week’s Google I/O is reportedly going to be absent of any Nexus 5 announcements, there’s very little possibility that’s what the above photo is of. LG’s event is scheduled for May 30, which means we’re two weeks out from getting the full skinny on the company’s big flagship device. Even though @evleaks said the evidence was circumstantial, that might be the best we get until later this month.
