It seems that Ubisoft recently held a special preview event for its upcoming open world hacking title Watch_Dogs. Gaming sites and blogs around the Internet have posted big previews of the title, and they’ve each dished out select bits of information for the game.
PlayStation Blog has one of the more interesting posts with “Watch_Dogs: 7 Things You Need to Know.” Part of their feature hits how multiplayer and single player will blend together in this game.
Multiplayer and single-player will overlap. Watch_Dogs will feature a full-blown multiplayer mode set in the mean streets of Chicago, though final details are still under lock and key. More intriguing is that multiplayer and single-player will “seamlessly” overlap, an effort by Ubisoft to demolish the wall that has divided single-player gaming and multiplayer for decades. This interconnectivity will extend to a companion experience on mobile devices, though details remain scarce.
What all of that means, of course, remains unseen. We have none for some time now that Watch_Dogs will feature a unique take on open world multiplayer, but the notion that it’s entirely seamless with the single player portion of the game is relatively fresh.
Before you leave, dive into the six new Watch_Dogs screenshots below. This game will launch for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Wii U and PC on November 19th, 2013.
