Ubisoft Developers Discuss the PlayStation 4 and Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag

Sony gathered a few developers from the Ubisoft studios working on Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag to talk about what sort of gaming the PlayStation 4 brings to the table for the next entry in this massive franchise.

It’s really great to see developers come together and talk passionately about a next generation gaming platform. If game creators all love the PlayStation 4 as much as these folks suggest in the video above, that’s good news for Sony.

However, standing strictly as a consumer and gamer, what about the PlayStation 4 is surprising with the video above? Higher resolutions? More detail? A drop in loading? All of those things seem, to me at least, like logical additions to games when a console generation jumps.

In fact, what about the promised PlayStation 4 additions for Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag won’t be in, say, the PC version of the game? Just some food for thought.

Which platform will you snag Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag on? It’s set to sell for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PC and Wii U. I imagine we’ll also see it on Microsoft’s next console.
