Google I/O kicks off next week and we’re expecting several announcements, including in-depth details on Google’s Android 4.3 Jelly Bean operating system. In addition, however, we’re also hoping to see new hardware, including a new Nexus smartphone and Google’s next Nexus tablets.

According to KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Google will launch a new version of the Nexus 7 with updated internal hardware. CNET cited a note from Kuo that claims the new 7-inch tablet will have a 1920 x 1200-pixel display, a Qualcomm APQ 8064 processor instead of the NVIDIA Tegra 3 chip in the current Nexus 7, a 5-megapixel camera and a thin design. Kuo believes Asus was tapped again to build the tablet.

We’ll be covering Google I/O live next week so stay tuned for plenty of fresh news.
