Netflix for the iPhone and iPad was updated on Thursday with several new features. Version 4.1 now allows users to continue watching a television show after an episode ends. That means, if you’re watching a season, the next episode will begin playing right away. It’s a nice option, especially if you’re sitting on a train or plane for hours on end.
The update also includes a new post-play movie feature that recommends similar movies based on the one you just watched, or your tastes in general. Netflix also said it added enhanced second screen options, although it’s unclear right now what those options are exactly. The update is free, but you’ll need to have a streaming subscription, which costs $7.99 per month, to take advantage of the app.
