Heading to Google I/O? Maybe we’ll see you there, but if not you can download the new Google application to catch up on the live streams while they take place. If you are heading, you’ll definitely want to install the new update, which will allow you to use your smartphone as an NFC-based badge to check-in.

The updated app will also keep you up to date on any schedule changes—you don’t want to miss those Android 4.3 developer meetings—and provides a lock screen widget that shows your upcoming appointments. Other features include maps with session information, an option that automatically sets up Wi-Fi, new support for seeing when Office Hours occur and more.

So whether you’re heading to San Francisco for Google I/O or not, this is an app that you should definitely have installed before it kicks off next week.
