According to SamMobile, Samsung is preparing to launch several new devices at the end of May—at least in Europe—including the Galaxy S4 Active, Galaxy S4 mini and a few other devices. The Korean company only just released its Galaxy S4 into the breach, and will add a much more diversified lineup to complement the flagship device. Samsung has always pushed choice, and fans will certainly have plenty to choose from once the final family of devices hits.
Alongside the S4 Active and S4 mini, Samsung will also release the already announced Galaxy Mega 5.8, Galaxy Mega 6.3 and the mysterious Galaxy S4 Zoom, which SamMobile says is a camera phone. The company’s Mega devices are perhaps the most intriguing, as they further push the phablet boundaries. A 6.3-inch device is massive—really not that far off from a Nexus 7—but consumers obviously crave bigger smartphones.
A late May release will come just after Google’s I/O event, which is next week, and sandwiched between Apple’s upcoming WWDC in June. The Galaxy S4 might be too much device for some to handle. If that’s the case, you may want to see what the S4 mini, S4 Active or S4 Zoom offer. Or some other variant of the S4 that we’ll surely see before the handset sees the end of its cycle.
