Google Glass Receives the Saturday Night Live Treatment

Google Glass hasn’t even made its way out to the general public yet, but apparently the writers at Saturday Night Live decided that it has been covered enough that enough of its audience would get the jokes should it receive a parody. During the Weekend Update spot, Fred Armisen played a fictional tech blogger named Randall Meeks that demonstrated just how “easy” it is to use Google Glass. From awkward head movements to unresponsive vocal commands, it’s anything but.

As we discussed on the latest episode ofTech on the Range, for Google Glass to succeed with the general public, the perception of the hardware has to be positive and show the world it isn’t awkward. This sketch is certainly not going to help Google get over that hurdle.
