Last month we had a sneak peak of an alleged entry-level BlackBerry 10 device. The “entry level” title doesn’t make sense though because, let’s be honest, when the Z10 is the only BlackBerry 10 smartphone available in the U.S. right now then it is the entry-level device. Plus, BlackBerry CEO Thorsten Heins has confirmed that the company won’t sell $50 smartphones, so there’s very little room for a budget device.
Still, a new image of the alleged BlackBerry R10 surfaced on Friday and it sports a beautiful cherry red, albeit plastic, body. It appears that this device will launch as the second full-QWERTY BlackBerry 10 smartphone after the Q10, but we don’t know much about the rest of the specs. The keyboard looks relatively basic and we’re guessing this is basically the new “Curve” of today’s BlackBerry smartphones.
CrackBerry, which spotted the phone on Instagram, said the device is rumored for a Q3 launch.
