Tim Cook Coffee Charity Marred by Credit Card Fraud

The charity auction for Tim Cook was recently marred by a bid by someone who used a stolen credit card to place a $605,000 bid, Fortune said.

That’s a pretty nice credit limit and the revelation explains why the auction is now sitting pretty with a still-impressive $600,000 bid for coffee with Tim Cook. The meeting is worth an estimated $50,000 and the auction, created by Charity Buzz, kicked off last week.

Final bids are expected on May 14 when the charity closes up, and we expect to see a last-minute spike as we do when auctions end on eBay. Will it surpass the million dollar mark? We won’t be surprised if it does.
