We already know LG will talk about the Optimus G Pro at a May 1 event in New York. But it’s still unclear where the device is headed here in the U.S. However, a freshly leaked render, courtesy of Evleaks, shows that the device is most definitely on its way to AT&T. Whether it’ll be available through any other carrier remains to be seen.

If LG wants to make a big splash here in the U.S., it’ll have to secure multiple carrier availability. The device is a clear competitor for the Note II’s phablet crown—the Optimus G Pro has a 5.5-inch, 1080p display, however. Recent murmurs suggest the AT&T variant of the G Pro will have a 1.7GHz Snapdragon 600 processor, 2GB of RAM, 16 GB of storage, a 3,140mAh battery, a 13-megapixel rear camera (2.1-megapixel front) and support for the carrier’s LTE network. Sounds pretty fantastic.

We spent some time with the international version of the Optimus G Pro and felt it was a pretty great handset. But as we said in our unboxing, the G Pro is falling into a familiar market, and Samsung so far has it cornered. We’ll know for sure what LG has planned on May 1, but at the moment it looks like the G Pro is headed straight for AT&T.
