Verizon officially announced on Thursday that it is now accepting pre-orders for the Galaxy S4. The 16GB unit is priced on a par with Sprint’s model at $249.99 but comes with a $50 mail-in rebate. The carrier said Samsung’s new flagship Android smartphone will be in stores on May 30, more than a month from now and long after competing carriers begin to offer the device.
We recently provided our first impressions of the Galaxy S4 and came away with the conclusion that it’s very much an upgrade from the Galaxy S III, even if it does look very similar. Verizon isn’t offering the HTC One, so this is probably one of the best Android smartphones you can pick up from Big Red.
We’ll be bringing you our full review of the Galaxy S4 shortly, so stay tuned for plenty of additional information.
