This may explain why we’re already seeing delays for the Sprint and T-Mobile versions of the Galaxy S4. According to Samsung, via a statement to AllThingsD, overwhelming demand is leading to limited supplies. The delays themselves aren’t particularly lengthy, but we now know why they happened in the first place.
“Due to overwhelming global demand of Galaxy S4, the initial supply may be limited,” a Samsung spokesperson said on Wednesday.
As one of this year’s most hotly anticipated devices, it’s no surprise demand is leading to tight supply. Does this mean the only way expectant S4 owners can get the device is actually waiting in line outside of a store? It sure sounds like it.
