Sony is being a little cheeky when it comes to bragging about the depth of Quantum Dreams upcoming thriller game, Beyond: Two Souls. It recently shipped out a 2,000 page book to a few news outlets to show off how long the script for the game is.
When the book was opened, it was totally blank, revealing no secrets or spoilers other than a statement on the first page which says “The average film script is about 100 pages long. At 2,000 pages, this is not your average film script.”
The fake script also reveals that Beyond: Two Souls is the first video game ever to be officially selected at the Tribeca Film Festival.
For a better comparison, Destructoid laid out the massive omnibus next to the script for both Persona 3 and Persona 4 to measure height differences. To those not in the know about the most recent Persona games, they can take anywhere from 80-120 hours to complete. Stacking them on top of one another and barely getting a tenth of the height is a bit more telling.

Something tells me that Beyond: Two Souls will not take over 1,000 hours to beat, but the branching pathways available to Jodie Holmes on her 15 year existential journey through life are sure to open up countless scenarios. I don’t doubt it will take countless hours to uncover everything the game has to offer.
Sony also shipped the 2,000 page book on Earth Day, and the hole punched papers can’t be reused in some printers. Niiiice.
Beyond: Two Souls will be released on October 8th, 2013 exclusively for the PlayStation 3.
