iCloud, Apple ID and Game Center Outages Reported

Apple is acknowledging that Apple ID, Game Center and iCloud outages may be affecting some of its users. The company’s status website confirms that users may have an issuing logging into their account using an Apple ID, that Game Center isn’t working properly and that users may be receiving an error message while trying to sign-in to iCloud.

Apple didn’t detail the extent of the outage and it typically gets its systems up and running rather quickly after an outage. As CNET notes, however, there’s speculation that this is a global outage, which could be a much bigger deal than a simple brownout.

We can confirm that iCloud is indeed not working properly in New York City and we’re getting an error that says the site can’t connect to Apple’s servers.
