An unannounced project from Bethesda, the studio/publisher behind Fallout 3, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and more, has shown up on the website for the Australian ratings board. This leak definitely falls under the “rumor” category, but ratings board related outings are almost always spot-on.
Still, this is a rumor. Nothing is real until a game’s publisher says so.
Here’s a screenshot of the rating as it appeared at the time of starting this draft. Consider this taken for the sake of posterity, as the ratings board could very well pull this page soon.
So, we’re looking at a game with “strong horror themes and violence.” The MA 15+ rating from Australia’s rating board suggests that the unannounced Endless Summer will boast strong themes, strong violence, mild language, mild sexual themes, light nudity and no drug use.
Is this yet another post-apocalyptic survival horror title? Or, has Bethesda settled on another theme packed with horror themes and violence?
They’ve already announced The Evil Within, a survival horror game from Resident Evil‘s Shinji Mikami, and Vice President Pete Hines recently said that gamers should expect a lot of “noise” from the publisher in 2013. Is Endless Summer part of that noise?
We’ll have more on this one as it comes.
