Apple Intros “Download Later” Feature in iTunes

Apple on Monday introduced a new feature that allows users to download movies, music and television shows at a later time. MacWorld said that users can now purchase new content and choose to download it immediately or put it off to download it at a later time directly from iTunes. If a user selects “Later,” he or she will be able to find it in iTunes and download it at his or her convenience.

We’re glad to see the option, which allows users to purchase content ahead of a business trip, for example, and then clear up some additional space on his or her iPhone or iPad to download the flick at a later time. It’s also likely really useful for anyone who plans to pre-order a movie, new album or TV show before its release. We wonder if Apple plans to add an option for apps, too.
