The day of reckoning for TweetDeck’s mobile and AIR apps has been set for May 7. First announced back in March, the move is, according to Twitter, to focus on developing for modern browsers, which is apparently where most users are currently flocking to. “We think these Web and Chrome apps provide the best TweetDeck experience,” Twitter explained last month.
Also on May 7 will see TweetDeck drop Facebook integration, which sure isn’t good news for power users. On the mobile side, users will still be able to use Twitter for iPhone and Android, while TweetDeck’s apps for Mac and PC are still alive and kicking, though it’s unclear for how long.
