When Facebook introduced its new Home app for Android, the company said updates would be frequent—as many as one a month. Making good on its promise, Cory Ondrejka, head of mobile engineering at Facebook, said users can expect the first update in early May.
Speaking at AllThingD’s Dive Into Mobile event on Tuesday, Ondrejka also mentioned that Home would be available to those overseas starting today. This announcement follows Chat Heads coming over to the iOS environment, although Facebook’s fancy new messaging initiative doesn’t quite work as seemlessly in Apple’s playground like it does on Android.
Ondrejka didn’t reveal what new features, if any, would come inside the update, or even if new devices will support Facebook Home. However, a new update is just on the horizon, so all you Home fanatics are in for a more refined experience.
