Sony and Naughty Dog have released another video in the marketing campaign for their upcoming heavy-hitter known as The Last of Us. This time, the focus of the five minute clip is on the beautiful wasteland that makes up the game’s location.
As Naughty Dog’s various developers in the video above explain it, the world of The Last of Us has actually been designed as its very own character. “There’s something really pretty about nature reclaiming its domain once we are gone,” Creative Director Neil Druckmann says.
And he’s right. Next to the grizzly murder and horrible infected in The Last of Us appears to be a world that’s stunningly beautiful. Hopefully the final version of the game we see this summer matches the level of hype that’s been generated over the last year or so.
The Last of Us will launch exclusively for the PlayStation 3 on June 14th, 2013.
