To round out Canon’s new lineup of DSLRs, the company supposedly has an upcoming event lined up where it will also unveil the 70D. According to Canon Rumors, the long-awaited 60D successor will make its official debut on April 23, which is only a few weeks away. The rumored event lines up with previous murmurs about a spring release for the mysterious 70D.
Much is still unknown about the 60D’s big brother. Early leaks suggested the camera would be “a big step up” from the previous generation, but we’ve heard little since about the upcoming camera’s specs. At the very least, many expect the 70D to house the same sensor found in Canon’s recently unveiled SL1, but other than that it’s all one big mystery. As we get closer to the supposed April 23 event, I’m sure we’ll likely hear more about what Canon has planned.
