Welcome to the 25th episode of Tech on the Range! Your hosts for this week’s show are Sean Aune, Todd Haselton and Joey Davidson.

You can find us each on Twitter.

This week’s topic is “Always-On Consoles Turn Us Off”

Earlier this morning, news broke of Microsoft Studios Creative Director firing off on Twitter about all the “drama” surrounding consoles potentially requiring always-on connections. Word is that the next Xbox will need a perpetual internet connection in order to play games. That rumor hasn’t been confirmed, but Orth’s tweets have lead to a lot of concern.

As a note, we recorded this episode before Microsoft released their statement regarding Orth’s tweets. Please read that before listening. Or don’t, whatever, we’re not your parents.

Note: You can subscribe to the show on iTunes. If you’re not an iTunes user, you can use this RSS feed or even find us on Stitcher.
