Last night several reports suggested that Jelly Bean was rolling out to the LG Optimus G on AT&T. Now the carrier has officially confirmed that the update is indeed on its way.

As you’re probably well aware, Jelly Bean includes improved voice search, Google Now for constant updates on sports scores, traffic, package deliveries and more, as well as performance and speed enhancements. The update will be rolling out over the air but you can manually grab it by going to Settings > General > About phone > Software update and tapping “update now.”

The patch also enables mobile payments on the Optimus G, although that’s currently only being tested in limited markets across the U.S.
