40 days have passed since the Korean launch of the LG Optimus G Pro, and the company is already claiming record setting sales of 500,000 units over such a short period of time.
On the first day alone, the LG Optimus G Pro sold a combined 10,000 devices across the country on pre-orders.
The phone wowed us after its Mobile World Congress reveal in February, and reactions to the far have been universally positive across the board. With specs such as a huge 5.5-inch 1080P display, a 1.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor, a 13 megapixel camera, and 2GB of RAM, it’s easy to see why the device has been such a huge success so far in its home country.
The verdict is still out on whether or not the Optimus G Pro can replicate its success overseas.
So far, no carriers have committed to supporting the phone in America and Japan, but LG is leaning towards a Q2 release this year.
