Both HTC and Nokia are battling for market share against giants such as Apple and Samsung, so it comes as a bit of a surprise that HTC’s EMEA president has decided to leave the company for Nokia. One might assume that if you’re going to jump ship you might as well move to one of the big boys.

Sieche will lead Nokia’s European sales department beginning on June 15, Bloomberg said in an article about a lawsuit related to taxes in India. According to his LinkedIn profile, Seiche has also worked for Orange, Orange Group and Siemens, so he has a long tenure in the wireless industry.
