Amazon’s highly rumored smartphone will ship with a 4.7-inch display, according to a new report published by DigiTimes on Wednesday. Amazon reportedly made the decision to move away from a smaller 4.3-inch display and to equip the phone with a larger screen following increased consumer attention toward larger “phablet” style devices.

Samsung’s new Galaxy S4 has a 5-inch display while the HTC One sports a 4.7-inch display.

Amazon is reportedly planning to ship the smartphone during the second quarter of this year, although recent rumors suggest the scheduled device launch was delayed due to production problems with Foxconn subsidiary Ensky Tech.

It’s unclear what the smartphone will cost — rumors suggest it will fall between $100 and $200 — if and when Amazon does announce it, and we’re not sure if it’s going to take Google’s approach by selling the device itself or instead working with carrier partners.
