As the T-Mobile event kicks off in New York City, the BlackBerry Z10 has appeared on the carrier’s site for ordering.
Sticking with its plans to ditch subsidies, the Z10 has appeared on T-Mobile’s site with an unusual pricing structure. You can buy the phone outright for $531.99, or you can pay $99.99 today, and $18.00 a month for the next two years. It works out to exactly the same price no matter which option you choose, so it’s up to you which method you’d like to pick.
Is this the brave new future of cell phone purchasing? T-Mobile certainly seems to think so, but we’ll just have to wait and see how consumers react.
