Send to Kindle button

If you’ve been looking for an easy way to send Web content to your Kindle, Amazon has got your back.

Amazon has announced support for a “Send to Kindle” button that can be added to websites and blogs. The new feature does exactly as it says and can send the information to both the physical Kindle devices and the Kindle apps for carious smartphones and tablets.

While there have been plugins for some time for both Firefox and Chrome that accomplishes the same thing, a large portion of Internet users never explore those sorts of add-ons. The new button will be placed in the same area as the various share buttons – as shown in the screenshot above from Time – so it should feel a bit more comfortable and familiar to users.

If there is a huge demand for a service such as this remains to be seen, but one thing is certain, Amazon doesn’t ever want you to forget that it is lurking everywhere.
