Google Play 4.0 Will Allegedly Introduce Redesign

by Brandon Russell | March 20, 2013March 20, 2013 5:00 pm PST

Google might be looking to introduce a redesigned Google Play experience. Droid-Life has acquired version 4.0.16 of the Google Play app, which shows a cleaner layout with an emphases on bigger imagery. If this is indeed imminent, it certainly lines up with Google’s recent focus on app design.

In the comprehensive walkthrough video, not everything is live just yet, but it gives you an idea of how the new Google mobile empire will work. There are other small changes, such as easier switching between searching for apps and various content, but overall those familiar with Google Play should still feel right at home.

Google I/O is still pretty far away, so perhaps we’ll see an announcement fairly soon. The company has been pretty active lately, releasing Keep today and potentially working on a Google Now solution for iOS. And Babble? That might be coming soon, too.
