At long last Verizon is pushing the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update to the Samsung Galaxy Nexus.

After what seems like an eternity, Verizon has announced that Android 4.2.2 will be pushed to the Galaxy Nexus in phases beginning today. The update will be done over the air, so keep your eyes peeled for a notice that it is waiting for you.

Those of you who are anxious to find out what the update contains will be happy to know you will find support for photosphere to take 360 degree photos with, the all new Gesture Keyboard, new widget placements on the lock screens and updates for Calendar, Gmail and the Clock.

Hopefully it won’t take long for this eagerly anticipated update to make it out to everyone.
