Apple just released iOS 6.1.3, an update to iOS that “fixes a bug that could allow someone to bypass the passcode and access the Phone app,” Apple explained. The exploit was first identified in February and existed in earlier versions of iOS 6.1. After jumping through a few hoops, a would-be intruder could easily bypass the passcode lock screen on an iOS device.

Apple said the update also includes an update to its Maps application in Japan.
