We all know the Galaxy Note III’s screen is going to be massive; the jump from the Note to the Note II tell us so. But just how big of an increase can we expect? A modest 5.5 to 5.8-inch jump, or maybe an even 6-inches? Not according to a rumor from late last year, and especially now according to Samsung’s gaming pad accessory that was revealed alongside the S4.
While this is no way confirms the Note III will come with a whopping 6.3-inch display, the parameters for the company’s Game Pad do go from 4- to 6.3-inches. That’s absolutely enormous for a phone, but it’s a direction the smartphone market is certainly headed, so I wouldn’t be surprised if the Note III did indeed sport a 6.3-inch display.
The phablet market is more common than not these days, and Samsung has never shied away from going big to bigger. If this does come true, the Note III will be 1.3-inches taller than the Galaxy S4, which has a 5-inch display. Do you want/need that extra screen real estate on a smartphone? We’ll find out soon enough.
