Redbox Instant has finally left its closed Beta to allow anyone who cares to to sign up for the newest streaming media service.
While we had some issues with Redbox Instant during its Beta phase, here’s hoping the company listened to all the feedback it received and has improved upon what it had. For now the service is focusing on movies and foregoing television content, something that both Amazon and Netflix have been duking it out over. If Redbox is able to focus solely on cinematic fare, and bring it into the home faster, than it might have a shot. Only time will tell.
Redbox Instant will cost you $8 a month and includes rental of four physical discs from kiosks per month in the deal.
