It’s a bit hard to say there’s a delay to a product that doesn’t officially exist, but that’s exactly what one analyst is saying about Apple’s oft-rumored iTV. Jefferies analyst – and oftentimes hilariously wrong Apple pundit — Peter Misek recently said that Apple has delayed its iTV until 2014.

“We had thought that Apple’s software and ecosystem would be enough to drive demand but our checks indicate that Apple wants the hardware to also stand out,” Misek said in a recent note to investors. “We believe Apple wants a display that looks like 4K/Ultra HD but without the super-premium cost.”

Misek’s predictions don’t stop there. He also thinks there’s a 50 percent chance Apple will launch an iWatch this year and said that the iPhone 6 (not the iPhone 5S?) will launch in the first quarter of next year. That doesn’t fit Apple’s historic summer release schedule for the iPhone, so we’re not even touching the salt shaker on this one… but take a few grains if you wish.
