Sony Xperia Z Front

Looking to buy a new Sony Xperia Z or any several of Sony’s other Xperia-branded handsets but are afraid of losing your iPhone data? Don’t be. Sony recently released its Xperia Transfer software that, like HTC’s own software, makes it easy to move from an iPhone to an Xperia handset. If performed correctly, it should make it a breeze to transfer your media and contacts.

The Transfer Wizard is part of Sony’s PC Companion software for PCs and Sony Bridge for Mac. First, back up your content in iTunes then connect your device and open the Transfer Wizard. You can transfer contacts, messages, calendar entries, notes, bookmarks, music and more. Note, however, that it only works with the following devices:¬†Xperia V (LT25), Xperia VC, Xperia TX (LT29), Xperia T (LT30), Xperia TL (LT30), Xperia T (LT30), Xperia Z, Xperia ZL, Xperia ZQ.

Sony says it’s as simple as that. We haven’t tried it, but we’re drooling to give it a whirl once we spend more time with the new Xperia Z. Check out the easy steps in the video below.
