The Marvel Unlimited subscription service has finally made its way to mobile devices thanks to a new iOS apps.

While the Marvel Unlimited subscription service has been around for some years now, it hasn’t been the easiest thing to use on a mobile device. With the release of an iOS app, you can now put your $60 a year payment to good use and enjoy over 13,000 comics from Marvel’s 70 year history.

While this sounds awesome, there are some drawbacks. First off, you can only store a maximum of six books on the device for offline reading, so any hopes you had of reading through the entire run of Strikeforce: Morituri during your overseas flight isn’t going to happen without paying for an Internet connection. Secondly, even when you are reading via the HTML 5 implementation, the general word so far seems to be that the response is definitely more sluggish than the offline reading you get when using the Comixology Marvel app.

Even with drawbacks, $60 a year to read as many comics as you want isn’t the worst deal in the world.
