Time Warner Cable on Roku

Customers of Time Warner Cable got a huge reason to go out and pick up a Roku this week as the little black box will now act as a cable receiver for any TV.

Roku announced on Tuesday that customers of Time Warner Cable can now take advantage of its authenticated cable service, TWC, on the popular streaming device. This new feature will allow you to torn the Roku into what amounts to be a portable cable box and use it on any TV in your home where you don’t have cable access.

This new feature will work with:

  • Roku 2
  • Roku HD (model 2500)
  • Roku LT
  • Roku Streaming Stick

Since this announcement was made prior to the Roku 3 announcement, we have to guess it will work there as well.
