HTC creates amazing phones. You only need to look as far as the One X, the Windows Phone 8X or even the brand new One to see that. But for some reason the company’s sales dropped 44 percent year-on-year. The reason?
Our best guess is the increase in popularity of smartphones made by Samsung, including the Galaxy Note II and the Galaxy S III, as well as the continued success of Apple’s iPhone brand.
Total sales came in at roughly $383.7 mill, AllThingsD noted, which is a decline of 27 percent month-on-month. HTC hasn’t specifically said when the brand new One flagship will launch, but we hope it manages to get it out the door before Samsung’s Galaxy S IV hits the market.
