Fans of streaming media devices from Roku get ready, an all new experience has arrived in the form of Roku 3.
Roku took to its company blog tonight to announce that the Roku 3 is ready to hit the market. The latest iteration of the device is currently only available through the company’s own site, major online retailers and through Amazon – although we can’t currently locate it on the site for ourselves – and will be coming to major retailers in the coming months.
The Roku 3 is sporting a faster processor that will be five times faster than previous models, and also features dual band Wi-Fi connectivity to assure the best wireless connection possible. However, one sacrafice had to be made, and that is this model will only work with high definition televisions.
In addition to the new hardware, a new interface has been added which will unify all of your streaming options more conveniently.
The new interface will also be available on Roku 2 models, Roku HD (model 2500), Roku LT and the Roku Streaming Stick starting in April.
