We had a chance to check out LG’s Optimus F5 in Barcelona last week during Mobile World Congress, and now a new report suggests that the device will make it to the United States on Verizon Wireless as soon as next month.

UnwiredView¬†learned of the planned launch and even obtained an image of the Optimus F5 with Verizon branding. The Lucid 2 isn’t as powerful as the Optimus F7, and it’s a far cry from the flagship Optimus G Pro, but it does offer compelling mid-range features including a dual-core 1.2GHz processor, 8GB of on-board storage, 1GB of RAM, a 4.3-inch display and an 8-megapixel camera.

There’s still no word on when Verizon will officially announce the phone, but we expect it to fall in at about $99 with a new two-year contract.
