Sony is lining up a new Xperia handset, simply called C670X for now, that could arrive by summer. The company recently unveiled the Xperia Z at CES earlier this year, but nothing of significance from Sony came out of Mobile World Congress aside from the Tablet Z. That’s all about to change.
According to the specs given to Xperia Blog, the device will launch with Android 4.2, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 chipset with 1.8GHz processor, Adreno 320 graphics, 13-megapixel rear camera, 4.8-inch Full HD display, 2GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage. Pretty typical for a flagship in the year 2013. Mobile World Congress was littered with such handsets, not to mention the similarity to HTC’s new One.
It’s a Sony flagship nonetheless, one that we’ll be keeping a close eye on over the next few months. Sony really impressed us with its Xperia Z, so if the supposed C670X is anything like that (it sounds better), we’re definitely in for a treat.
