Canon’s EOS 60D, which was announced back in 2010, is allegedly getting a big successor later this month. According to Canon Rumors, the company is gearing up to announce the 70D on either March 19 or 26, which means the big news could be less than a month away. The camera will supposedly be “a big step up from the 60D in terms of specs.”
While no spec list has been leaked so far, Canon Rumors claims the camera will have an extremely rugged build quality—possibly similar to that of the 50D. Whatever is unveiled, it sounds like it’ll push toward pro-level specs and build, but for a solid entry-level price. Just in time, too, because I’m in the market for a solid DSLR.
