Anonymous Hacks Burger King’s Twitter Account, Renames it McDonalds (UPDATED)

Well this is both silly and scary at the same time. Hackers who appear to be associated with Anonymous (they’re suggesting you follow them @YourAnonNews on Twitter), have hijacked Burger King’s Twitter account.

The feed is currently loaded with bizarre jokes and the hackers have renamed the account “McDonalds.” One sample tweet begs users to try the new “BK Bath Salt!” but that’s just one drug reference among many. Burger King has not yet acknowledged the attack, from what we can tell, and we hope it’s resolved soon.

Update: Looks like Twitter has suspended the account for now. TechnoBuffalo reached out to Burger King for comment but we have not yet received a reply.
