iOS 6.1.1 Users Complain of Poor Battery Life on iPhone 4S

Apple recently issued iOS 6.1.1 to address issues related to overheating, poor battery life and other bugs on the iPhone 4S. Unfortunately, it looks like the update is still causing frustration among users. Some are even saying they would have preferred to be stuck on iOS 6.1.

“The battery life on my iPhone 4S was fine with iOS 6.1, but is depleting quickly with 6.1.1,” one user commented on Apple’s support forums. “The iPhone is now constantly warm. I would normally go get home and have about 65% charge, it is barely 2 hours into the day and the phone is already at 65%”

One commenter suggested a quick fix: ” Battery issues are reported after EVERY iOS update,” diesel vdub said. “The resolution is always the same, basic troubleshooting as described in the User’s Guide. Reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new).”

Hopefully that helps you out, if you’re experiencing the issue. Apple already has a new update scheduled to fix an Exchange error and another major security flaw.
