Apple Seeking Engineer for “Next Generation Features” of Apple TV

Apple is seeking a software engineering manager for its Apple TV group. We’ve heard rumors that the company may be working on an iTV, but this is a gig to lead the existing set top box team. What’s it call for?

Apple says it wants an “experienced engineering manager to help deliver the next generation features for Apple TV” who can “bring [their] creative energy and engineering discipline, and help us bring the Apple experience to the Living Room.”

The “Apple experience” is already in millions of living rooms around the globe. In fact, even though Apple still calls the product a “hobby,” the company sold 2 million units during the holiday season.

Apple said the engineer will lead a team of other engineers to deliver new features, “drive releases from initial concept to completion” and will generally represent the entire Apple TV team inside Apple’s offices.
